that is sooo clever!  you did a great job (and I'm saying this as a crafter AND a horticulturist).  you could totally sell those as pincushions, and you could even buy little mini clay pots to put them in which would be way cute and less effort!

These would make great presents for my brown thumbed friends too! Maybe you could start a whole line of 'plants' for the horticulturally challenged.

And I thought to myself how the moon
That night, cast its light
On my heart's true delight

That's gorgeous!  And it totally looks like a cactus - you don't have to have spines, you know Wink

I'm very into Britney Spears' early work, before she sold out, so mostly her, um, finger painting and macaroni art.

That's such a good idea! I think it's extremely cute. Pin cushions are a really good idea--with the pins looking like spines. I love it!

I was so inspired by your cactus that I made my own little notion box/pincushion version! I have been wanting to make one for me since I made one for a swap but I couldn't think of the right theme. Duh! Cactus! I love cacti, too!! Thanks so much for the inspiration! Mine's a bit lopsided too, but then, so are all my real cacti so I'll just pretend I did it on purpose!

Sorry it's blurry, I guess I got too close trying to leave out my messy table!  Wink
