I guess I just need some reassuring...I made a ku illusion scarf for my boyfriend and will give it to him on friday... but it is soooo long..I kind of forgot that its own weight would make it grow...I'm 5'3" and it comes past my knees...

He is much taller, and it should be wrapped round the neck which would shorten it anyway so it will be ok....right?

edited to add: this is the scarf http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=70214.0

Yeah I don't think that it will be a problem! I'm not a guy but I actually like long scarves better! I am sure that he will love it! Are you going to post pictures?

He wraps Himself in Light, and darkness tries to hide and trembles at His voice... How great is our God!

PM me if you would like to trade something knitted for a size 12-20 Built by Wendy sewing Pattern... never been used!
Hey little boy, what you got there? Kind sir, it's a mollusk I found.

old navy was/is selling super long scarves this season- so it should be fine.  my sister came over to my house wearing a really long scarf that she bought- it was wrapped 1x around her neck & still hung halfway down her thighs.  (she's pretty tall too)

I read somewhere that a scarf should be at least as long as the person is tall.  I don't know who came up with that, but I usually use that as a way to gauge the length of a scarf.

if you can't be a good example then you'll just have to be a horrible warning.

im even shorter than you, 5'2 lol

it should be an ok length for him
-thicker neck
-coat bulk
-built a bit widder simply because hes a boy
-he'll probably wrap it around his neck (looks like its just over your shoulders in the picture)

im sure he'll love it even if it is a bit long on him, its a cool scarf Smiley

Have him wear it the way that is popular now: fold the scarf in half and drape it around your neck, then pull the tails the the 'loop' at the exact center of the scarf. You can see what I mean on this page: http://www.theflyingshuttle.com/weyosc.html under european style.
