My roommate's bedroom has a star theme going on, with shades of blue ranging from navy to very light. I suggested she spice up her dark navy curtains with some pretty dangling stars. Here is what she did:

1. Painted tons of little wooden stars that we had laying around. She made them light blue topped with shimmery glitter. Be sure to paint both sides of the stars, because they will turn and twist on the window.
2. She glued the stars to six strands of thin silver and white ribbons which were cut to be a little longer than her window.
3. She let them dry for a while and then tied them to her curtain rod.
4. Voila! Happy window!

Hope you all liked the idea. Very simple and pretty. This technique could be used to complement any bedroom theme. I'm thinking about making some with fake flowers to match my own room!

Any more simple, fun window treatments out there?
