The Orphan Foundation of America is looking for 2,500 hand-knit or crocheted scarves to send to orphans attending college. The deadline is January 20th. Click here for more info:

yes i'm crazy enough to scroll through 7 or so other pages of charity crafting opportunities and click here.

if anyone has some uni-sex yarn and a spare few hours over the upcoming holidays, the link is still good and they're accepting scarves through january for the 2007 valentine's day packages.

I just went to that link, I am going to have my crochet group work on this, I think it is a great idea! So many of us end up making stuff for baby charities, the bigger kids get forgotten. So I will defintely be helping with this one!

Here's the finished scarf I sent it at the end of January. 



I read that they got 3 times as many scarves as they needed so this is probably gathering dust somewhere.  But it was fun to make and it's much easier than it looks.
