here's some pouches i've been messing with over the holidays, i'll probably add a button clasp to the "cloudy" one.
cloudy pouch

circle pouch

they seem pretty sturdy, does anyone have a good idea for a use for these pouches?

How big are the pouches?  That would affect use.  OH and how fragile-- that is would bumping about inside a purse cause snags and rents in the surface?

Great designs and colors.  I wanna touch them.

wow, BEAUTIFUL!  Shocked and they do seem to be pretty sturdy. Did you first needle felted them and finished with some wet felting? or they are completely needle felted? I love them!

Those are very very pretty.  They look about the right size for a pair of glasses or a camera.

thanks everyone Smiley
they are completely needle felted, no water involved on these. they are fluffy, but i think they'd be sturdy enough for eyeglasses. the outside surface might wear easier if it's rubbed around inside a bag, like graceo said, so i dunno about carrying money in them.

They are so beautiful.  I was thinking if they were really small, they would be magnificant packaging to an engagement ring.  At this larger size (though still smallish) the eyeglasses or cultured pearls.  wonderful jewelry pocket.

Luv the pouches!  Can I use stiff felt to make these?

ooh great idea grace! they might be nice for packaging jewelry as a gift!

kika62- unfortunately the "stiff" or pre-formed felt would not work in this project, as craft felt won't felt (or stick) to itself without the use of thread. needle felting like this does not involve any sewing, only a special needle and some wool roving.

Okay, I have the special needle and wool roving, how do I shape these into a pouch - maybe a tutorial or direct me to one?  Thanks.

kika62,  Glad you were able to find the supplies.  Have you tried making the ball and the matt in the needle felt tutorials we recommended  when you asked about needle felting in another topic?  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=59632.10

Have you made a good tour of this board? or tried the search funtion? - Kraftycate shared  how she made a take off of these pouches in another thread on this board.  Also, suggest you join the current needle felt tutorial to get some experience and help along the learning way.
