That's beautiful!  I love the kimono type design, and the inside slanting pocket.  The little stitch marker strap and pocket is brilliant!

I made some needle cases for ym mum and grandma for Christmas, they were nowhere near as good as yours!   I didn't put that flap on the top, maybe next time...  It was the first time I'd tried to make them.

Anyway, great job! Smiley

I'm very into Britney Spears' early work, before she sold out, so mostly her, um, finger painting and macaroni art.

The Flap is essential!  I learned that the hard way!  Wink

Just at Jo-ann's fabric. (As a matter of fact, I got all the materials at Jo-ann's)  I spent at least an hour matching up fabrics for it.  I found the fabric in the quilting section.

Why?  Because the needles fall out the top?  Damn, now I'll have to make new ones for my mum and grandma >_<  But that's ok, I told them if they turned out to be crappy because I didn't know what i was doing I can make more - all good practice!

That's exactly why.  I had the same problem.  I made a really pretty one that I can't use because the needles keep slipping out!  I made this mistake twice before getting it right.

That's really awesome! I especially love the removable stitch marker loop! That's really original. ^_^ The fabric is gorgeous too. You definately have one lucky friend.

Haha!  Yeh I don't think my mum and grandma will be doing much travelling with them so it should be ok...  But I will definately work out some kind of flap for next time!
