I have about a dozen or so very colorful bandanas I picked up at Walmart for 25 or 50 cents a piece - but I never really wear bandanas.  I'm considering converting a few of them into regular ol' headbands... but what should I do with the rest of them?  Any tips?

Did the same thing....never wear em...bought tons...oh well. The squirrel in me I guess. But just yesterday I grabbed one and made a tote out of it for my niece to carry the 8 finger puppets I made for her. Took about 5 minutes. Folded it in half, braided about 9 strands of matching yarn sewed them on and it turned out adorable. And like most kids she will probably use the five minute gift holder more then the adorable finger puppet theatre that took both my husband and I just at a month !

Other ideas that came to mind, pillows....covers for different things.. gonna make one for my Stand mixer...keep it from getting dusty. Maybe for your sewing machine or heck..tv or keyboard cozy....line a basket so little things don't fall out. Use liquid starch and plaster them on the wall for painless artwork Cheesy (you could even embellish them first...embroidery, sequins, etc.) Cover a bulletin board or cork with it....If you live with someone, could use it as a memo/message holder...fold it and sew straight seams up it to make pockets and hang it by the phone or on your door or could put it by the front door.

Boy thanks! Now I have some ideas what to do with those turkeys too!!

Hope that helps Cheesy

I once saw a doona cover made of them. The front (the top part) was a heap of colourful bandanas sewed together to the size of her bed and then the back (the bottom part) was just a regular white sheet to make it into a proper cover. At the bottom it had velcro so that the doona wouldn't fall out. It's simple but with all the different colours it looked effective as well.

A quilt is a lot of work, but you could cut them into strips or squares, reassemble and make a pillow cover, a bag, or a small throw.
