Hey party planners!

If you've started a thread about a party you've had & you included pix...PM me or post a link here, so I can add it to our Party Index Wink.  We seem to have lots of party discussions, but I thought it would be nice to have a list of all of the "Completed" parties, w/o needing a seperate board or anything major.

Parties!
1920's Murder Mystery party
Candy / Wonka party
Carnival party
Chocolate party  This is my kind of party!  Wink
Going to Cancun Grad party
Gypsies, tramps, and thieves party
Hollywood party
Luau
Mad Tea party
Another Mad Tea party! ...oh the madness!!
Monkey party
Another Monkey party!
ANOTHER Monkey party!!
Murder Mystery party
Pig party
Tea party
Trash party (you just have to see it, to understand! Cheesy)
Zombie party

Misc. Featured Threads:
Outdoor Tin Can Lights
Homemade Balloon Drop

Thanks,
Sweets  Wink

Thanks KCGal!  :-)

As long as there are no offensive images or parties (use your best judgement please Smiley ), feel free to post all.  Cheesy

If you would like to start a thread for each party, to describe the decorations, etc., that would be great, then I will include a link to each party/theme.

I am going to have the list alphabetized by party theme, so it should be pretty neat Cheesy

thanks again for working on this keen idea.

My parties are all "clean" (even the "Talk Like a Pirate Day" party was PG-rated!).  My husband and I do an annual Christmas party, as well as one themed party each year, then I do several "gal pal" parties each year, with themes like "Chai Tasting," "Amelie" (my all-time favorite party), "Dynamic Duos," etc.  I have posted a few of these themes and their details on this board, but I'll collect everything and send for this topic.

I have to admit that I won't be very helpful in the photo dept.  I don't always take pics of my parties (other than of the ppl, not necessarily of the decor), and I'm not too swift with scanning/downloading/uploading pics.  But I'll do my best!!  Anything for craftster!!

Oh.. tee hee.  This thread is going to just be a list of links to Parties w/ pictures.  So if you could create a thread for each party theme, I will grab those URLs and add them to the list I am making.  Smiley

I had a great themed party for my daughter's 11th birthday and I certainly could post a lot of pictures of it. Now what exactly is it you would like us to do? Especially since it would be my first Thread starter post at Craftster.

Just start a thread in Party Planning.  Use the theme of your party as the Subject  Cheesy  Send me the link to it, or post it here...so I know it exists.

I am making a big list by going through old threads.  I'll replace this thread with it soon... and it will be the directory of party themes  Cheesy  Just an easy-reference list, by theme, only threads with photos included.

Thanks!!

I'm glad you have kept this thread going, sweets4ever, and that you are planning to tweak it further.  I need to follow your instructions and post some of my party themes as stand-alone threads.  I wish I had pictures to add, but hopefully some of my ideas and details will be useful to someone.

Maybe I will include the really detailed parties (even w/o pictures).  Your descriptions of them were so vivid, they created a picture of their own in my mind anyway!  Cheesy

I think I will do that!  I will have them on the list as well, I will just make note beside them that there are no pictures included.  Smiley

Just a suggestion for posting these party theme threads...
should we come up with a standard subject line so that people can start to recognize these particular threads?  Perhaps "HOW TO PLAN A xxx PARTY" or something more clever than that.  I know that when I scan through the various craftster boards, it can be difficult to home in on what really interests me b/c there are so many threads.  A standard subject line might help "brand" these topics more easily for ppl.

That would be a good idea...

Although, the Super sticky topic that I will have...is going to list them all & I will use the theme of the party as the link to the particular party thread.

So it might look like...
Parties!
Cat Party
Day of the Dead Party
Willy Wonka Party

Each one will be a link to the particular party thread & they will all be contained here in this alphabetized, on-going list.  So it doesn't really matter to me what they call the thread on the board because I will rename it on my list.

I like the idea though...because it keeps the board more tidy & I all about that! Cheesy

Party on!

I bought them plain from Oriental Trading and decorated them with a friend using Sharpies, glitter, and sequins.

I don't have any photos here, but I threw a Forrest Gump in Eat-o-Vision party for my 25th birthday and it went perfectly.  I had seen a few things in the news about Smell-o-Vision making a comeback and I thought how fun Eat-o-Vision would be, so I picked a movie with a lot of food to watch at the party, then whenever that food popped up on screen I served it in real life to my guests.  Please please copy my idea!  Everyone loves Forrest Gump and food, and a lot of people said it was their favorite party ever.  Here's what I served and when:
  1. at the bus stop and when the mother is talking to young Forrest box of chocolates
  2. with Jenny in the corn field bowls of popcorn with different toppings
  3. when Bubba tells about all the shrimp varieties shrimp platters and teriyaki chicken (we called it "Chicken without shrimp" to make it apply)
  4. meeting President Kennedy Dr. Pepper (and Diet for the sissies!)
  5. when Forrest brings Lieutenant Dan ice cream ice cream with toppings (sprinkles, chocolate syrup, brandied cherries)
  6. at the hippie rally when he meets Jenny again snap peas and carrot sticks with ranch dip
  7. when he finds out Lt. Dan invested in "some kind of fruit company" apple slices and caramel & chocolate dip
  8. at the wedding birthday cake (I made a merengue park bench and little suitcase)
I toyed with serving chocolate pudding when he's running and steps in poop, but thought that was too distateful, and serving coffee while Jenny is at the restaurant, but that scene was too brief.  Anyway, it came out perfectly and everyone had a great time.
