I was wondering if there are any bookbinding techniques for whole pages, without folding the paper. If you could post suggestions, links, books, anything, it would be very helpful!

Japanese stab-bound is a good choice for what you want to do.  This website: http://www.sdmart.org/education-plans.html#book  has instructions on one way to do it.
