I decided to make the "To Dye For" sweater from the first Stitch 'n Bitch book minus the dying instructions.... This is how it came out:

It was the first sweater I've ever made so I made a few mistakes.... I didn't finish it off exactly the way it said in the book.... and I made the arms a teeny tiny bit too long... but otherwise it came out pretty good!

Just a skein of that Caron One Pound... I had it kicking around, so I figured I'd use it for something.

Cool.  Cheesy
I never understand "skein".. to me a skein is 100g and I don't think it took a mere 100g of yarn to make this sweater.. I'm onto my second 100g ball already!

I'm currently onto the second sleeve (or possibly the front..) of my "to dye for" sweater which I'm knitting out of sirdar nova yarn and adding my own adaptions as I go along.  Should be interesting to see how it turns out.  Cheesy

Ooh I like it! I have some of that same yarn on hand and was toying with that sweater idea in my head. Did you double up the yarn or use one strand?

i love this sweater! i'm working on mine too. i'm done with the front and back and am working on the first sleeve. its so easy! i dyed the yarn too. its in pinks and oranges. the one thing i'm so annoyed with is that my guage is right on target and i got enough yarn and more to make the sweater but i've had to use one skein more and need to go bye more kool aid to dye another one. thats two skeins more than the pattern called for! its not the same company mohair yarn but its the same size skeins and weight yarn etc etc. its annoying to have to keep worrying if you're gonna run out! thank god i had extra mohair! and i'm only making the second size so i have no clue why i keep running outa yarn! anyone else have trouble with the fact that it calls for less yarn than needed?

Are you guys looking at the yardage on your label?  I have 2 different yarns, both 100g.  One has 100 y and one has 224 y.  May be why you're running out. Just a thought.
