I knit this for one of my best friends for Christmas.  I couldn't find a cabled hoodie pattern that I liked, so I ended up adapting a plain hoodie and just adding cables and ribbing.  (more details and modelled pic on the blog)

The cables are a little hard to see, sorry!

Thanks.  From her reaction, I think she really liked it too.  She emailed me when I got back to work (I gave the sweater to her on my lunch break) and this was her comment:  "Do you think my sweater will start to smell if I never ever take it off?" 

I think I need a basic, no cable sweater to work on for a while though!!  When I joined the sleeves to work the raglan decreases there were SO MANY STITCHES and SO MANY cable crossings...

Really, really nice! I find it difficult to make an entire sweater for MYSELF, never mind for someone else. That is an amazing gift!

Wow oh wow. I'm doing my first cable project now (armwarmers) and I think it's fun. But I can only imagine how much time (and fun) this was to make! I'm still too much of a wuss to try and make a sweater. . .
