I guess house warmings is really full up but they are taking things for ajudication and then they do a vote.  I think they'll be more interested as the markets get going since they have a stall.  Sylvan's farmers market can also be good, but the people who have run it in previous years decide whether or not the market needs what you've got to sell - they may not let you set up if they think they have too much of what you got already.  I've always wondered in the consignment stores, like 180 degree, would take in recon clothes or bags.  I've done the farmers market once - I highly recommend preparing for the weather!

spirals420,
Do you mind if I ask what you sell at records to the rafters and will be selling at the market?  I know I'm being nosey - you can just ignore me if you want.  I always like to buy from the locals when I have to get gifts and whatnot.

i was selling (i took all my stuff out to do a craft fair at the college, and havent been back to put stuff up again... i suck, its mostly out of lazyness) anyways. i make knit and crocheted items... i sold some scarves and whatnot.. i did way better at the college craft fair though.. sold almost all of my stuff (it was a chilly couple of days every one wanted scarves, hats and arm warmers!) i would be happy to make anything for a fellow red deerien though...

as for 180 degrees this girl who i used to work with said she sold some stuff there (she also said a lot of things... if you know what i mean) but another friend has taken things there that have been "modified" and as long as it looks good im pretty sure they will take it...

what kind of things do you do vegbee if you dont mind me asking..

welllll, right now I'm making tote bags/purses with appliques on them (I've been making stuff for swaps - I'm waiting for people to get them before I post the pics), but I've been making bibs with saucy sayings, and this and that.  stuff, ya know.  I've got to finish my last damn college course before I can make anymore but I want to start sewing clothes for me and my toddler.  I've also got a button maker so I've been selling them, but its been mostly for bands, fundraisers, and nametags at a cafe downtown.

Before when I was at the farmers market I was selling necklaces (also with a shop in Sylvan and another in Red Deer).  Talk about a completely saturated market!  Although I think about going down there again with totes, I don't think I would do it - I am a truely awful sales person.  I end up giving away more than I sell, especially to kids.  I think this summer, when I'm doing more, I'm going to try the consignment stores (I have to justify the amount I spend on fabric somehow - speaking of which, fabricland has sale on this weekend).

I am looking to get some arm warmers for my sister though - do you make those?  I think she would about poop herself for some skull and crossbones or playboy bunny ones (she's 16).

Yes, I knit and crochet.  I also like to cross stitch and sew.  But not very well, unfortunately.  Smiley  I checked out your blog, spirals...  very nice!

Hey spirals - My sister loves loves loves her arm warmers!  thanks so very much (although I had one great aunt who was completely confused why anyone needs to warm their arms.  She thought they might be good for reading when camping... hee hee.)  So, I didn't get a picture (kid smeared up the camera lens with chocolate fingers - I have to clean it... somehow).  Maybe next time I see her.

thatdarnpunk - hello!  I think we are involved in some swaps together.  Pottymouth for sure.

Does anyone know where the cheapest place to buy those foam letter stamps for acrylic paint.  Again, pottymouth swap - i think it justifies the expense so I don't have to spend gobs of time handpainting each letter.  Prob Michaels or scrapbookers paradise (i was just in there for the first time the only day - holy crap, lotta crap).  Anyhoo.
