I'm close to red deer! Unfortunately like you ladies I'm hopeless at sewing and knitting but I'm really in to making cards/invites/other bits and bobs. I was wanting to find a job in that sort of area to build my knowledge but there really is nothing in little old Red Deer to do with that!! Unless any of you know of places??!  Huh

Hello ZeeBee!

Are we related?  Grin

Thanks for reminding me of this thread.  On saturday april 4th there is to be an art and craft show in the Snell auditorim (at the downtown public library).  I will, unless something goes hideously wrong, be there with my patterns.  If you come, please stop by to say hi.  Is anyone else a vendor also?

Im close to Cochrane which is close to Calgary!
Ive been looking to connect with other Alberta craftsters, just to say hi and what-not. I stumbled onto craftster while looking for some reno ideas for my shack Smiley

Ive just always been kind of crafty. I like doing my own renos, I am a painter (like art, not homes), use to scrapbook. I can knit a scarf! And Ive now done 2 sewing projects. I love making/altering jewlery.

I hope someday there is a crafster gathering in Central-Southern Alberta. Maybe even I will get on that someday...hmmm.

Hope its warm where the rest of you are, its nice here today!

Hello red deerians and surrounding area.  If you are Bobbi, please pm me, I've shamefully lost your email.

We are moving soon and I've been very painfully decluttering my fabric and notion stash.  I have literally a truck load of fabric.  Some of the fabric is great, quality quilting stuff, others not so exciting, some knit, suitings, and some is intended for recons.  Much of it was gifted to me in the first place.  It's a bit of a treasure hunt, good for quilters or sewers determined to make the most of what's avaliable.  Or someone who doesn't want to have to buy fabric for the next year or two or five.

So, what I'm getting at, is that if someone has a truck and the energy to go through it all, they can have my fabric and notions.  The catch is that they have to take it all and to try to find homes for whatever they do not want.

PM me if you are interested or know someone who is.
