Hallo!  My hubby might get a job in Skaneateles and I was just wondering what kind o crafty things/places/happenings go on (or around) there?  Has anyone ever been there?  Thanks so much for any info!

I can tell you, Fall is composed of

1 part dead fish smell
1 part wet leaves
1 part arctic chilled air (not winter chilled variety)
2 parts crunchy walking
a pinch very cold rain
some apples you picked yourself
a few very still moments
a good deal of inner reflection

Ritzy-rich-expensive town! They have a great yarn store, a great bead store and a huge assortment of extreme high end Mom n Pop type stores. The Clintons vacation there every year and the village is right on one of finger lakes.

thanks so much, everyone, for replying!  I haven't checked this post in a long time...

I'm glad about the mom and pop stores...there aren't enough of them around.  Being from argentina, that's what I'm used to....it's odd and overwhelming (but convenient) to have everything in one giant store...

I love the snow and the cold so much!  this winter's been too dreadfully warm, it's killing me!  i'm sure our pugs are happy though...

thanks for the invitation, helen on earth, if we do end up moving up there I'd love to sit in on le craft nights!
