Ladies, When I received the copy of the pattern from Caron, the ch70 was crossed off.  They wrote in ch 68.  I guess it was a correction.

I finished mine a couple of weeks ago but I don't have a digital camera to take a picture.  I think I had the problem with the extra chains too, but I ended up using a sc base instead because my gauge was so far off--this with the hope that it would help make the pattern wider--no luck, but if it was too narrow, I could have gone back and made the base longer and added another pattern repeat.

I had problems with the border, too, because my picots always look funny.  After I went all the way around, I discovered that I did them wrong, but I left them because I just wanted to finish at that point.  LOL They don't look that bad.  If they had, I would have ripped them out and done them again.

But, overall, it's really pretty.  The pictures with the patterns (the label and the pattern sheet) don't do the shawl justice.  The don't capture the beautiful drape or the sheen.

I made mine about 72 inches long and used 3 1/2 to 3 3/4 skeins.

I'd make this one again.  The hardest part is choosing a color.

I just got the pattern from Caron........it only took a couple of days by snail mail, they were nice enough to include a pattern for a scarf and a ponchini. I would love to make this shawl in a light weight yarn for those cool spring nights.  Does anyone have any suggestions on what yarn I should use? I cant wait to get started!!!
