So my mom told me I had too many jackets and refused to buy me fabric. Well, I went to walmart and found houndstooth for 2 bucks a yard, and then picked up a rainbow heart lining and buttons. Around 10 hours later...

Yeah by the way I didn't realize the collar was popping up like that so just IGNORE  Grin

I'm really proud because I did this all by myself this time, no help from ANYONE, and if my mother's pinking sheers weren't dull then it probably would have taken half the time to make [cutting numerous triangles in seam allowances is enough to drive anyone insane].

wow! i'm totally not a cutesy and hearts kind of person, but that is fabulous! and besides, when it gets below 50 F for us floridians, that's the equivalent of below freezing to the rest of the country! wear it proudly!

That is fantastic.  And 10 hours is quite fast for a coat!  I have the same pattern, but I never could come up with an interesting way to use it.  You did it!!

ksjgkhgkbfnv i LOVE it! i actually need a long coat like that too, cause here in NY the high today was 38.
Me = jealous, not only of that goegeous coat but also cause you live in Florida.
and i think the heart buttons just pull the whole thing together. good job!
