i bought a gocco and am sad at the colours of fabric ink i got with the stamp kit. red, yellow, blue, black. no white!!! i know i can order it but am extremely broke from buying the gocco in the first place..hehe
so needless to say i really want to make pink, and other light colours. was wondering if anyone had tried other paints with it. like tshirt paint. cause i think it would work, seems to be the same consistency and wayyy cheaper but i have yet to try it out. i know you aren't supposed to mix gocco ink with others and of course they say not to use other inks/paints at all because of course its it really in their best interest to tell you that you can use it with other paints???

any help would be nice Smiley

I've tried some stuff and nothing I tried worked (and unfortunately I can't remember the names right now)

Gocco ink is very thick, so keep that in mind.
Silkscreen ink is way too thin and it just leaked everywhere, same with shirt paint.

I haven't mixed gocco ink together with another ink, so I can't comment on that.  Maybe try a little and let it sit for a while to see if it separates at all.

a tub of the white ink for fabric was about $5 at my art supply store and it really does go a long way...i don't know if i would want to risk ruining the screen to save money on the ink, though maybe i'll try a little experimenting for you with some of my old screens.

Hi everyone.  This is my first post, but I've been lurking forever!

I just got my Print Gocco today and I can't wait to start using it!  I'm wondering about the fabric paint.  Can you use light colored Riso fabric ink on dark material, like a white graphic on a black shirt?  Does the fabric color change the ink color at all, or is it pretty opaque?  I'm sorry if this question has already been answered; a search didn't turn anything up.

Thanks for any help you can give!!

I've used white gocco ink on black shirts, and it is completely opaque.  The darkness of the shirt did not affect the ink color at all.  Just make sure you heat set it before washing!

Thanks for your help!  I just started using my gocco on paper.  I want to start making t-shirts, and I have the fabric printing kit, but there is no white ink in it!  I've been looking for dealers around town (chicago) for the fabric ink sold separately, but no luck.  Do you order yours online?
