I bought this book FireHead!!!  And I did so solely for this pattern!! 
Supposedly it is intermediate in difficulty.  I just recently graduated from college and now im taking some time to just do crafts so this project is on my "list".   
Im just thinking of the color scheme I should choose....I was thinking earthy tones?  what do you think?.....Ill definately post when completed thanks for reminding me of it!   ~M

I got a copy of that book from the library and was thinking of making the same pattern, but using it as a kind of curtian in my kitchen.  We have the curtains where there's a rod on the top and on the bottom.  I wasn't sure it was a good idea though, but it looks great in my head!

I bought the book too and have started on the scarf.  I couldn't find any affordable yarn so I am using cotton thread and will then try and dye the individual pieces!  Hope it works.  Cross your toes for me.
