got2b - your jello one is ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!!!   Kiss Kiss Kiss

***Baby don't worry cause now I got your back. And every time you feel like crying,
I'm gonna try and make you laugh. And if I can't, if it just hurts too bad,
then we will wait for it to pass and I will keep you company
through those days so long and black.***

Those all look absolutley amazing!  I need to get my butt to a thrift store!!!  Btw... I remember the "long way" as being the hot dog way and the short way as the hamburger?  hehe, I'm just glad I'm not the only dork who thinks of it that way

a thing of beauty is a joy forever.

Hey, Mouse, I hope you can see this from the road!

First pic, the whole cassette book, made from "Janie's Got a Gun".

Second pic, the detail of the spine. I used a bead to anchor the end of the thread when I started. I used a large glass bead for the fastener.

Last pic, the interior. I used linen-textured paper.

I made this for a friend. We used to listen to this cassette and Sinead O'Connor endlessly on bus and BART rides.
Great tute, Mouse! May I suggest an investment in hemostats? These are locking scissors-looking tool that can be used to grab needles and pull them through thick layers. A 5" pair is only $1.99, a 12" pair only ruins about $6.00! They're also good for turning and stuffing small stuffed toys, and holding up things while they dry. They're also FAR easier on the teeth!

Here's a pic and link:

I grew up just a little late to have cassettes, I only had Hanson-Mmmbop before I started buying cds. This seems like an excellent cheap ebay project
