So I'm not quite sure where on craftster this fits in (or if it even does!) but I wanted to share it!
I got the idea from THE GENERIC BOYFRIEND GIFT THREAD: A How-To!, a fantastically helpful thread if there ever was one!

For part of my boyfriend's Christmas present, I spent a longgg time writing on around 1,500 post-its and then, while he was gone for just an hour, COVERED his room in them!  (1,500 is an estimate... I bought 24 100-postit packs, but I didnt get around to writing on all of them - it was a lot harder than I thought - and it's a good thing I didnt, because with just the ones I did write on I was running out of places to put them!

Anyway, on to the pictures!

As you can see, I also bought some 8.5 x 11 photo post-its.  They worked great, although they didnt stick as well as I would have liked.

The bed also ended up being covered... my original plan was to do only the walls (and of course, I could only reach so far, and I didnt want to put them too low because I thought the cat would play with them! As it turned out, George-the-cat is much too lazy to care about a few post-its; he was sleeping on them more than anything!) but after I'd covered much of the walls and still had a ton of post-its left, I began sticking them on anything that didnt move away quickly enough!  The ones in this next picture, on the shirts in the closet, actually stuck really well!

If I were going to do it again, I'd try to give myself more time... the post-its in the first picture stayed up really well, because they were the first ones I did and I rubbed my finger along the sticky part on each to make sure they stayed.  I did this the week before christmas and they're still up now in mid-january!  With the other ones (especially at the end when I started getting frantic!  Cheesy) I just stuck them quickly to the wall and so for a few days post-its rained down from the walls!

And, naturally, here's the silly boyfriend himself, with another gift (Clocky, the alarm clock that runs away!)

Thanks for looking!  Smiley

Edited to Add: It's now over a year later and some of the postits (the ones on the door, mainly) are still up!  Grin  Grin

thats cute and kinda creepy at the same time.    Wink   creepy in a good way.  in a you-better-not-leave-me-or-i'll-find-you kinda way!  heehee

here is a valentines idea for ya....well maybe when you are married....a loooong time ago, i wrote sweet things about my man on little paper hearts....a LOT of little paper hearts.  punched holes in them and tied them to a quicky homemade "peekaboo" bra so that everything was behind a curtain of hearts.  i know! so dirty!  ha!  and them presented him with a pair of scissors.   It was a....um...fun night!

Thanks for the comments everyone!  The most of post-its are still up,
kristianne88, but we'll be sure to recycle them when they eventually all come off!  (Except the photo ones; he's planning on getting frames for all of them Smiley )

He knew I was there working on a present... does that decrease my creepiness?  Tongue  Cheesy

I'll definitely keep that idea in mind for the future... but tell me, did he really take the time to read them? Wink

envyus, as far as I know he hasnt suffered any nightmares from them... but he did say they made him feel less alone at night! (He just moved out of his parents house to live with his cousin, and his cousin had been gone for two weeks.)

Glad you like it, ship and Dree!
