Those are great. Just showed the pics to my fiance and he loved them. He's a big computer geek, and with valentines day coming up I think this might be A fun gift to try.

I loved these and you inspired me to make some for my uncle who is a comp geek.
But I don't have any of these beads so I just finished making one from plastic canvas that I will have to post soon.
Great idea and yours turned out really cute!

I had a kit for those things when I was younger and I made random crap for my mom.  Oh the memories... anyway, your coasters are really cool.  The colors pop out.  I like it.

These are so cool!  I think the "proper" name is fusible or "fuse" beads, if that makes searching for cheap supplies easier.

The brand name of the beads I see the most is called Perler (we call them perler beads at work, but I hear melty beads a lot from customers).

Klutz books also makes a giant version of the beads (like 4 times bigger), but I think their products are way too expensive.

Thanks!  I have a Gashlycrumb Tinies poster on my wall.  My favorite is Titus, who flew into bits.

Those are soooo cute! I am inspired to go out and buy me some of those beads. I pass them everytime I'm in the craft section at Wal-Mart, but I've never picked up any. I remember doing those things as a kid.
