The hat is knit with a little  crochet insert---and the scarf is crochet. Both made with noro silk garden and artful yarns portrait. Reminds me of something a wood nymph would wear. (^_^)

Ok its finished now!!!! I keep adding stuff..

Oh, just gorgeous! The colors are stunning. I agree with you about looking like what a wood nymph would wear!

WOW those color combinations are gorgeous, weary fairytale like.
I wont that scarf so bad, I'm not much for pastels but this one is just perfect. I second fore what linbtl said about trying to copy it (not exactly of-course) and I would be happy to hire something more about how it is done. Great job.

That's so gorgeous!  I love the fluffiness, how it's not all over but it only in certain bits.

I'll try to work up a pattern after Christmas... I kind of fudge some of it at the end so the pattern worked out..

I don't know how warm.. i made as a gift and i live in Florida .. and rarely wear scarfs. I used silk .. if u made it with wool i might be warmer than silk. Undecided

The scarf is made from a foundation chain that i crocheted in a shell-sc pattern , when i got to the end of my foundation chain i continued the pattern in the loop left on the foudation chain alternating the shells and just kept going around like that in the pattern.. the center part is noro silk garden and the outter fluffy part is artfull yarns, portrait.

the edging is a sc, ch 7, sc in each space. this is the big lacy scarf pattern from the fall-winter issue of  Knitscene magazine ..that i altered and used different yarns.

I cant wait to get started on this project........coul d you let me know the color numbers and name of the Noro silk garden and the artful yarn portrait? I was going to order online but I cant figure out the right shades. Also could you tell us how much of each yarn you used?
You have really inspired me with your beautiful work!! Thanks so much Cheesy

I don't have the lables any longer. I sent them off with the gifts. Embarrassed.. the artful yarns was a moss green with pink running through it and the noro silk garden was mostly shades of green and some gray a little lavender and blue.. sorry I dont have the color numbers.
