It's soooooo much better in real life than in photographs  Angry

It looks rubbish, doesn't it.  Embarrassed

If anyone has any tips on how I could photograph it better, I'd love to hear them!  Kiss

Edited to add new thing I made!!!:

This morning I made a little tea light holder out of ultrasound images!  Cheesy ....and it's just as impossible to photograph.   Angry

Oh well.  Just in case you were wondering, it's a bladder, 2 spleens and a left kidney.

well, it would help to see it closer. And you can try turning out all the other lights so we can see what it looks like in the dark. It looks cool though! I'm curious to see it in all its glory!

I think it looks better.  Do you know what they were xrays of?  Am I seeing a hand?  I get the jist at least, and it's a nice idea.  There was a similar post before...did you follow those directions, or did you do something different?  I've been interested in trying this myself.  I have some frames, the xrays, and a spare light, and I think I'll be trying this soon.

Thank you.

Yes, you can see a hand in the last picture (a left hand, with a wedding ring on) - I took that one Grin . You can also sort of see a small child's arm and a bit of chest, and on the other side are 2 spines.

LOVE IT! It's beautiful! I'm curious how you did it. What's the frame made of? Are they real x-rays or did you find some way to make regular photos look like x-rays!

Thank you!!  I bought a lamp which I thought I could pull apart and re-make, in line with what I had in mind.  It's wooden and it used to have handmade paper panels. My husband put a light inside.

The x-rays are real, I'm an x-ray student.  I have another of the lamps to re-con, the only problem is that the panels are quite small, so I have to cut the x-rays to make them fit, and I really want to do a lamp where all the panels show prosthetics (hip/knee replacements etc), which I think are really beautiful - only cutting them this small wouldn't show them to best effect. If you see what I mean.

I think I will give this a go with my kidney stone pics! I tried to rig up a frame to show 'em to no avail. This would be perfect! Thank you!

I have some great shots of my head that were taken when I got vertigo and they were trying to figure out what was causing it....I've been trying to figure out what to do with them, they are way to cool to just throw away.... Undecided
