i know this question doesnt really pertain to the lurking but.....here goes anyhoo!

is there some magic easy way of making it so that a thread you have posted on in the past doesnt come up in your new replies anymore.
i commented once in the tattoo thread and now i am kinda sick of having to look at it to get it to go away!

i know i can go through and delete posts but that would take forever...but if i have to i will!  just curious if there is a better way!

I just click the "Mark all as read" button; it's easier than having to look at all the posts in threads that I don't necessarily have an interest in anymore. :/

I do that; it's just that it'd be nice to get them at all.

Making an effort to use proper English and not 'net slang makes me much more willing to respond to your post.

AGREED. As fun and cute as it is, the 10 Things About My Style thread is starting to drive me bonkers.

you know what's funny is I've done the "lurk" thing a couple times...but I never hit the "new replies" button, I was just posting to tell people I was watching the thread!  So I guess I wasn't really lurking... :-P

Well, that's what the bookmark feature is useful for also. I've bookmarked the threads that I commented in *and* that I want to keep watching (as well as ones I haven't commented in and want to watch) and now I check that first thing when I visit Craftster instead of the "show new replies". I know it's kind of a pain to go back and bookmark everything you want to watch, but I can attest that it's a lot nicer once it's set up.
