I did it! I actually followed a pattern, even with the yarn the pattern calls for!

It's for my brother for Christmas. But since he likes cameras about as much as a voodoo witch doctor, my glass headed goddess ($12 at the flea market!!) Estella is wearing it.

He actually let me take pictures! I have a great brother. I did have to go back and make it bigger, so he could fit all his hair under it. That was an interesting learning lesson.

Thanks everybody. It was really the best knitting I've done. It was great of him, because everytime we went somewhere he'd be like "You like my hat? She made it for me." That was fun.

This turned our really good!  I love the colors and it looks like it fits a normal sized head very well!  I agree that your glass head looks a little bad with a towel shoved up in here, but at least you have one! She's amazing! I wonder what else you could put in there?  Maybe some time of paper confetti?  Actually, I'm not sure you needed to put anything in there, really. Great work, I bet he loved it!

Thanks! He does love it, still wears it, and still tells people his sister made it for him. I've got white and pink tissue paper stuffed up in my glass head now (so it looks like she has a brain! lol.) She's the thing sitting on top of the bookshelf with the light with no shade behind her, so when I turn on the light it looks like she's had a really good idea.
