So I made this little tote on saturday and while I was searching around our craft-drenched basement, I fell upon a big box of cookie cutters...perfect for tracing, for shapes to put on my bags.  On this one I used the star...but I found cutters in all shapes...even a squirrel!

Here's the bag!

great bag- its so cute!!  quick question- for the star, did you turn the edges under to it wouldn't fray? If so, how hard was that to do? THANKS!

For the star what I used was this fusible web (Aleene's or something?) that you iron on to the backside of your fabric, peel off the paper and then iron it onto the purse, shirt, or whatever.  Then I sewed around the edges with a tight zig-zag stitch.  Hopefully it won't fray and I hope that helps.

I absolutely LOVE this bag. That cookie cutter idea is really rad, I want to run in my [also] craft-drenched basement and check them out. They would be great for stencils too! Ah! I love new projects, either way your purse is awesome, great work<3
