I'm scrambling to finish up some bags for Christmas presents, and I just about finished this bag tonight.  I need opinions though...

Which way do you think the handles look better?  Vertically or horizontally?

This is a really simple bag.  No pockets or gizmos.  Faux snake skin vinyl in a dark olive green.  Lining is an aubergine color.  Magnetic snap closure, wooden handles.

I need to throw a few stitches in the handles to keep them from flopping around all over the place.  Which way do you kids prefer???

Thanks!

Horizontal is best.

Horizontal definitely!

Is snake skin hard to sew?

Thanks everybody!  I'm glad I asked because I would have gone with the vertical option.  My husband suggested that I leave the stitches out and let the recipient of this gift decide on her own how she'd like the handles to go.

SaraM: The snake skin material wasn't hard to sew at all.  It was really, really thin and I was surprised at how hard it was to pin when I went to topstitch.  I've worked with all sorts of vinyl before and this was one of the easier materials to play around with.
