Hey, I live over here in Hampton, I love doing all that is crafty.  I'm also a professional face painter... yea, some people do get kewl jobs. lol.    If anyone would like to start some sort of swap circle or sewing circle, speak up!  it could be lots 'o' fun.  also, on the thrift store thing.. the best one in Hampton is by far The Family Thrift on Mercury, careful though, cuz they will always try to charge too much at first, but they always bring the prices down to incredibly cheap.  Also, the Goodwill on Mercury is awesome, might take some looking, but there are just things there that you can't find anywhere else.  but anywho.. drop me a line you ya wanna chat!   ifoughtpirahna@yahoo.com   AIM:ifoughtpirahna

starving hysterical naked, dragging themselves through the
negro streets at dawn looking for an angry fix, angelheaded
hipsters burning for the ancient heavenly connection to the
starry dynamo in the machinery of night

I'm in Portsmouth.  I just started using polymer clay to make ornaments but I am really interested in making jewelry.

hi guys.. i'm vaguely new to craftster [finally registered today] and live in the newportNews/Hampton area..
i mainly knit and do t-shirt reconstruction + stencilry, but also do various other crafty things [i'm some form of art student.. who is actually supposed to be working on numerous projects, but the internet beckons.. oi.]
i'd love it if there was a local group with get-togethers to meet fellow craftypeople + whatnot..  any progress on that?

I live in Richmond now, but used to be in Norfolk, I just wanted to chime in about the Hope House Foundation thrift store on Moticello in Nawfick.  It's my favorite and I try to hit it up everytime I'm back to visit.
