So Christmas is coming up and I'm making all my gifts because I can't afford to buy anymore after buying something for someone special.

Anyway, I managed to make something tres awesome though. I just bought a clock, took it apart and put in another picture. It cost like $3 for the clock, 'cos I was too lazy to check the dollarstore because they probably have cheapo clocks too. Anyway, here it is:

I totally LOVE your clock!

If it makes you feel any better, I did check all the dollar stores around my area last week for a clock for a similar project I was doing, and the cheapest I found was $5!! (I went to a thrift store.)

It was fairly easy to make, it was sort of hardish to get the cover off of the clock because I kept thinking I was going to break it. A flathead screwdriver helps to pry it open from the back.

i actually got the same clock (i believe) but i couldn't find a way to get the back off... or the front... or any part of it...
i actually think i broke it? heh.... oops.

im gonna take it back and try again, if i can figure out a way to get it off.
it just looks like a solid piece of plastic all the way around though. is that what yours looks like?

I know this thread is old, but I just wanted to say I LOVE it. I am constantly looking for excuses to have a little more Marilyn in my life. Thanks for the inspiration.
