Vinyl Christmas Brooches... OPINIONS NEEDED!!

Hello craftsters!

Christmas is coming (less than 2 weeks... !!!!) and i've decided to make gifts for my friends, and tried out this idea... Christmas themed vinyl/leather brooches.

I'm unsure if they are givable as Christmas gifts... here are some pics (sorry for poor digi cam quality)
and PLEASE RESPOND WITH CRITICISM, OPINION ETC.  i'm really curious as to what you guys think of them, and to be sure if they are givable or not.. thanks!

p.s. if anyone happened to have any tips on sewing vinyl.. plz share!!

I think they're cute... would go great on a card, or as a "bow" on a gift.  The only way I've found to sew vinyl is to sandwich it between tissue paper (which you tear off later).  Otherwise, something sticks to something... and it's just ugly.

I think they are cute.  I've noticed that people usually really appreciate something handmade and heartfelt, so I wouldn't worry about it being perfect, as long as you think that they will be enjoyed.  I especially enjoy the heart and star, as they could be worn all year, attached to a purse, backpack, jacket, etc.

They're so cool!  I really like anything with buttons anyway, but these are really cute and creative. Most definitely givable as pressies

Vinyl Sewing:
I bought my sewing machine a foot made out of teflon. This works best for me (better than the foot with the rollers, or sticking tape onto the normal foot ...).
I went to the shop with the normal foot (for measurement) and they made the new one out of teflon.

I don't know anything about sewing vinyl (and not much more on sewing anything else), but I sure love those brooches. They are cute and fun. I would definitely buy one (or more). Very, very cute!!!

Hi they look really great... would make great gift tags or even table pressies for christmas dinner.. not sure about getting it as a gift though..but then iam heavily effected with comercialization and think it has to  look expensive even if its not...

next year Iam thikning of boycotting it totally...

I think they are super cute! I agree they would be awesome attached to a handmade card. You could make up a little poem or verse for example about the recipient lighting your life even through the darkest of times. And then attached the star pin to the card. Your friend will then know how much he/she means to you and have the pin as a momento.

these are adorable! you should make more and if you have a christmas party/get-together, you could use them as party favors since they are just cute
