hey well i have been posting a little and reading a lot and i have finally built up enough confidence to post soem bags of mine... sorry the pictures are horrible and dark

well the first one is the normal jordy bag.. but instead i made jsut a plain red 'jordy'bag and then took my outside fabirc and cut the two rectangles and one of the rectangles i cut in half and hemed to make the split.. then with 3 silver buttons and hair elastics i made the buttons in the fronti sewed the sides togethger and the bottom and the corners of the front fabric. and then i sewed around the top joining the red bag and front fabric together. sorry thats confusing

the second one is just a normal jordy bag but i just out extra butterflies and glued then onto the butterflies on the bag..

any questions and comments would be greatly apperciated

Well done! I <3 that fabric!!! Have seen it somewhere else and think it's the most beautiful I've seen for a long time!! A bit hard to see them properly ( Embarrassed) but the bags lok really nice!! That's a nice & different way of doing it! How did you do the butterflies?? They look gorgeous! Please explain!?! oh, and I don't mean to be awful, but any chance of better pics...? I just really want to see those butterflies better!   Smiley

yea... im super sorry for those picutres.. i was in a rush.. hopefully new pictures soon of those bags and more!.. for the butterflies.. i did them two ways.. before sewing the outside fabric onto the inside fabric i used extra scrap fabric and cut out matching butterflies. then i did a quick coat of clear nail polish ont he cut out butterflies ( probably something better to use.. but hey its all i had) this stiffens the butterflie.. now u could either whip out ur hot glue gun and glue the butterflies thin body onto ur out side fabric int he apropriate place or you could get some matching beads and sew on beads going through the cut out butterfly and ur outside fabric... ( both ways the wwings of the butterfly are free to flap around.. it really gives a bag a new dimension) hope that makes sense
