Ahh! I just found this thread, but I saw the scarf on Anthropologie.com this past winter and vowed to myself that I'd make one for the coming winter. I've been saving up scraps and picking up cheap yarn when I see it on sale (I'm not a knitter) ever since. I'll post mine when I get around to making it.

I just saw this craft along today and I love this idea. I have never seen these scarves before so I had to try it out. I made 2 today. One pink and white and one with different blue yarn.

The pink one was the first one I did. It turned out kinda short so I did the other one to get it right.

RiRa and Winter,  your scarves are grand.  Was just thinking about these braided scarves the other day.  As fall is approaching here in northern Minnesota, USA, it is a good time to make some more.

Thank you both for the visual reminder of how neat these look.

Earlier in this craftalong, a few people asked how I made this scarf

Well, I've recently put up a pic heavy tutorial in my LJ if anyone's still interested in trying to make one.

Here's the link ->  http://jungle-dread.livejournal.com/15046.html#cutid1

I couldn't wait until I'd bort sum yarn to make one, so i made one using fabric scraps - cotton, denim, tweed - and loose ribbons i had lying around. It looks really good and the mix of colours means it'll go with anything! Its my first craftalong and it was really easy! I'll try n sho sum pics 2moro wen i gt my camera! Can anyone recommend any other simple craftalongs???
