Oh thanks Withwhich and Nutella. Smiley I'm still waiting to hear from my sweetie if your package has arrived Withwhich... I'm so curious about it (and the cryptic references to unused toilet paper as a medium)!
Kirstenmonster you blog and the Eastern Religions Swap items there (yours and eterry2's) look beautiful!

I took some photos of the items I sent, so I thought I might as well post them too. This is the shrine of the Green Tara, (Buddhist) Goddess of Motherly compassion:

and here is some more of the book of mudras, a type of Buddhist sign language. This is just a scan since it was hard to photograph an accordion book because of its length when unfolded:

Here's the necklace and shrine/box that I sent to StrayCat!

(My neck is not freakishly long, this is what happens when you hold your chin up to keep your face out of the picture!)

Nutella that necklace looks great (I've got a mild obsession with hands  Wink ) and the lotus photo in the shrine looks so peaceful.

Thanks minouette! I just visited this little crafts shop on Balboa Island (as featured on The OC!  Roll Eyes ) and now I have five million more ideas on how I could have fancied things up. But I'm glad you like Stray Cat!

Yes, it's a magazine tear-out. I high-gloss mod podged over it (several coats) so it's super shiny.  Smiley

Here are the lovely items sent to me by whichwitch

There is a golden Buddha mask (she somehow knew I collect masks Wink ) mounted on a black canvas and a golden Chinese dragon mounted on another black canvas. The gold pieces are "felted" toilet paper! It looks like it's been cast in a mold and you would never imagine that toilet paper was involved. In transit the pieces came off the canvases, but that was easily repaired. My apologies for scaring you whichwitch as the damage was very minor! I opened the box and saw things had been unglued so I closed it again without looking too carefully, trying to avoid further damage. I failed to recognize the dragon because I only saw it from behind (d'uh!).

THANKS AGAIN FOR THE LOVELY CRAFTS Whichwitch!

Wish me luck wadding home- it has been raining for 30 days straight here and if it gets any worse, I'm buying a canoe. Luckily yesterday's earthquake was very small and only scared my cat.
