I made another one..... I made this one for the color craft-a-long. January's color is "all the colors of the rainbow" so I thought why not a multi colored felted soap!?

Here is a link to that craft-a-long. http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=143008.0

Yay for PinkyK and her new felting addiction  Cheesy

I've recently created two sets of felted soap
Firstly the christmas soap

And some every day soaps. I made these in preparing to teach a yr2 class
Unfortunately I didn't manage to take any pics of the yr2 class felting their soaps.
Yr2 are so much more messy than yr4!

Is that yarn on the soap in the upper right?  It's really cool, looks like a starburst.

Thanks Smiley
Yes it is indeed yarn. I was experimenting with wrapping the soap in wool yarn before felting.
It helps the little ones keep their wool and soap together while they're felting

Hi everyone! I've been stalking these pages forever and just have to say thank you for showing your progress and support! The first few soaps were difficult, but once you notice when the felting starts and the fibers start to tighten it's exciting! It's so hard being patient.
Here's one of my recent soaps, I did the 2007 Jan Wishlist swap and made a felted camera case and when it was drying on it's "form" of soap I had this thought burst into my head:

Hope you all like it! (I didn't take a pic of the back, but it's got a needle felted screen and view finder on it.)
