This is it...Outlet Plate Frames.

I see plain outlet plates in the hardware store all the time and I have a ton of photos - so I thought about putting them together, an entire wall covered in these babies might look very interesting.

They can be screwed into the wall or on the door or just about anywhere.

So here's the $$$ rundown for my Outlet Plate Frames:

The metal outlet plates are about a buck a piece, the plastic pieces are fifty-cents each.

I covered them with black spray paint which was the most expensive item at $2.99 a can - I only needed one - and still have more paint for other projects.

The new screws, which are crucial to have, because most outlet plates come with stubby screws that won't screw into the wall were .25 cents a piece - you might need two, you might need one - depends on the plate you pick.

So to make just one frame it's less than 5 bucks - I already had the glue, the stamp and stamp pad, as well as the paper punch.  I used FREE paint chip samples (also from the hardware store) to decorate one of the frames:

just paper punch the chips and use Modge Podge to attach them to the frame.

After you cut the photo to fit inside the outlet, apply a drop of glue into each corner.

And the finished project, stamped with an interesting pattern I had in my craft stamp collection.

May be just me, but I can't see your pics.

Sounds great though.  I have a mental pic in my head.  I might give this as a grandparent gift.  Cute.

Hmmmmmm...is anyone else having this issue - can't see the pix?  Maybe it has something to do with the "meltdown".

Aw they look nice.  And they're cheap.  And they're easy.  I like it that these are picture frames and you didn't just stop with decorating the switch plates, but went that extra step.

What a great idea! You could glue a magnet onto the back and cover your fridge with pretty framed pictures.

Well, you could put something back there (like the left paint chip cards) but I just left it as is, because the plate is raised off the wall and not flush against.  You might not have the covers in Italy, but you have a TON of cool things!
