I want to make a messenger bag with adjustable straps. What exactly are they called in stores. I was thinking I could search for them on ebay but don't know what they are called. Any help?

Thanks.

If you want to use a ring, you could search for d-rings or if you want something like this search for tri glides

I've also seen them just called "adjusters".

You can get black plastic ones at Hancocks (about 2 for $1.29).  They also have black plastic D-rings (2 for $1.29), and snaphooks (about 1 for $1.49).

I buy them on e-bay for 20-30 cents a piece.  This is where I get mine from: http://stores.ebay.com/Extreme-Sewing-Store

You can also try here http://stores.ebay.com/Ah-Kwok-Supplies_Metal-slides_W0QQcolZ4QQdirZ1QQftidZ2QQtZkm but the quantities are rather large!
