I've started my Danica...the end doesn't look so squared off, but it is coming well.  I'm using some "local" Israeli yarns (aka imported no-names) which are 30% wool 70% acrylic.  (the colors are a similar purple to everybaby and a nice dark blue.)  It is looking good.  I don't know if the way I'm doing my "pick ups" are correct, but it looks fine.

The method I use is taking the left needle and picking up from the finished square the number of stitches required and then pearling or knitting as required.  If I did it one one, they wouldn't be properly spaced out.

Irid3sc3nt - if you can, keep posting pics.  I'm a very visual learner.
Good luck everyone!

i was thinking of using Noro - Silk Garden for Danica. Im not familiar with entrelac so would it be possible to make this scarf using only one color without having to cut and cast on a new triangle? or would i have to each time?

Alright.  So I've gotten a little farther.  I've taken a break from knitting for a bit since it was a mad dash to finish up projects before the holidays  (except for two....)  Here's the little bit I've completed.  Very little.

I remember I was stuck in a spot where I had to pick up ten stitches to make the square and I finally made it to my lys to figure it out.  Everything is already on the right needle, so it was just awkward enough that I wasn't getting it.  You just use that same needle to pick up the stitches.  They're purled stitches, so insert from front to back, wrap your yarn, and bring it out front.  Right?  I think that's right.
