"wrapped" window sill

First of all, this is my first posting! I've been lurking for a while and I really enjoy the site.   

My bathroom is a mermaid/sea theme.  The window sill was covered in yucky wood-look contact paper.  It needed serious help so I took it off and found inspiration at Home Depot when I was looking for something "organic" that mermaids might use to decorate.  I found the twine - it cost about $3.00.  I also used some thinner twine to hold back the curtain.

So, here's what I did. I hot glued the twine to the window sill, looping it at the top and underneath.  Here is a photo of it in progress:

That is so simple and yet completely lovely! Too bad my kitties would tear it to shreds. Your bathroom must be so cute- great job!

Pretty cute!  My cat, too, would scratch and scratch at it.  I like it with the seashells and scuba pic.

I love this idea!  Wouldn't it look cute on the window sills of a boat house?  Now I just need to buy a boat house...
