very nice, I love the swishy sound of taffeta when you walk..Does the bodice have darts? A good reference book for fitting issues and raising and lowering darts is fantastc fit for everybody..theres like 91 of them used for under 3.00..I love this book!! I have to make bust adjustments in every fitted top I make because of an over abundance of bosoms

My mom made the same dress for me for my homecoming dance last year:

And just yesterday I finished the pencil skirt version of it, which took me 5 days, but I didn't really have to adjust the bodice too much, just the length. Dang it was long.

I love the fabric on yours and you have a nice small waist that is perfect for the dress.  I hope you do post the straight version of it!
