wow...i've seen those things on mirrors before, and they always look cheap and tacky.  you've really transformed them into something really charming.

I made a couple more items, and I experimented a little.  So why not share?   Smiley
A second, smaller pin:

Hair accessories (the centers are upholstery nails--25 for $.88, which makes them even cheaper than the toothed washers!)

Since I was at my craftin' buddy's house (and she has every tool and supply known to craftkind), I experimented with her alcohol ink.  It permanently colors nonporous surfaces, and she's used it on glass (I think she bought it at Jo-Ann or Michaels a while back).  I tried it on extra washers and upholstery nails, and I really like the results.  They look much shinier, and the colors are more vivid, in person.  Of course.

Can't you just see what that stuff could add to hardware crafts, especially jewelry and other decorative items incorporating metal pieces?  I just had to share the discovery.  My craftin' buddy has the best stuff.

Aww, shucks.  Thanks!  I haven't sold any crafts since I was in high school and my mom took stuff to her school's teachers' lounge for me.   Cheesy  You should try it, mata--it's mostly just a matter of gluing everything together!
