Since I've had some questions from people who have made some of these themselves (or who would like to), I'll just lay it out now:
Go ahead.  Make them.  Wear them.  Give them as gifts.  Sell them.  (Hey, if you can make a buck off your labor, why not? Smiley)  I mean, it's basically a take-off on the good old marble magnet technique.  So go for it!  And, if any of you have made any, I'd love to see your interpretations!

(Sidenote:  The last time I went to Lowe's to buy more mirror rosettes, I noticed I wasn't the only one in the aisle buying them for a purpose other than what they were intended for.  A couple other crafty types were going to screw them into somebody's walls.  Got me thinking some more....)

I have to say, Bigmouth, your work looks even prettier in person.   Making some of these is definetly on my (long) list of things to do.  I love them so much!

I would never have guessed that the origins of this project were from a hardware store - great job!

What a great idea, and so very cute!  My hubby is a manager at a small 50+ year old hardware store where they have the wooden floors and the old men come in for coffee and gossip. (They won't admit they gossip but I know they do Cheesy.  I Think hubby  has everything I need right in his part of the studio, gonna go borrow a few supplies. Shocked  Maybe make some for hubbys cashiers.
