Hi!  This is my first post here.  I found craftster by some weird twist of fate, and love it!  I am 31 the end of the month, with one son - Karl - a hellcat two-year old.  Grin  I am a big Germany fan (German on my mom's side) and even married a German citizen.  We live in New Jersey, USA, but plan on moving back to Germany hopefully in the next couple of years.  I am attempting to learn German, but it's taking some time.  My son is already speaking German and English seamlessly, and understands both pretty well.  He also has the luxury of dual citizenship in the US and Germany.

I am looking for some German friends, either in Germany or the US, or both, to chat with and expand my German knowledge.

Thanks for reading!

Vielen Gruss aus San Diego, Kalifornia!  I am first generation American from German immigrant parents.  My written German is atrocious, aber ich can vast alles verstehen.  Anyhow - while I would not be a good correspondent for you, I thought you could maybe find some fine German folks out your way.

I stay very, very involved in my German-American Socieites here in San Diego... maybe you have a German club near you too!  It's a great time to find one - we are smack in the middle of Karneval, or Fasching, season.  We are partying like there is no tomorrow!  I have been folk dancing since I was a small child, and now I emcee our annual Oktoberfest (25,000 visitors over the 2 weekends!) and still perform in the Karneval's Prinzengarde dance group.  Do a search in your area for a club or language classes - if you drink good beer, you'll make life-long friends.

Riding my Vespa and being creative - the only reasons why I get out of bed at all.
