That's so great!  It reminds me of the thing in Winona Ryder's apartment in Autumn in New York.  I remember that hers had beads and origami cranes, and I believe it also had ribbons and maybe fake flowers.  So pretty!

What a great idea to make a mobile out of them!!!
It looks really cute! Grin

Here is a tutorial for the stars I found at google:

Maybe it helps better to imagine, how it goes.

Thanks again for all the nice compliments!

00babygirl - The stars in my mobile are a variety of sizes mostly about 2-3cm across though.  The size of the stars depends on the width of paper you use to make them.

Linara - Thanks for posting about how to make the stars! I was worried about posting my method because it came out of a book and I wasn't sure about the copyright issues!

tinkerbell star, i think it's so funny that it's the draft copy of your dissertation. that really is marrying the brains and the beauty. and that is came out so nice and looks so cool hanging from the ceiling only makes it better. i bet in the summer with an occilating fan breezing it every so often it looks super too.

great job!

I really liked your star mobile so I made one as a Christmas present for my little sister. It turned out really well! Here's a picture:
