Here's my version of Kate.  She's a tuxedo cat.

Love the cummerbund!

Here's my Kate!  The white yarn was some recyled Cashmere/ Angora yarn that I got from a Goodwill purchase.  The yarn was very brittle and a pain to unravel so just getting enough for my Kate was tough!  I read that I should put the sweater in the freezer but by then I was pulling out my hair so that was enough!

This is my 1st post!  I LOVE crafster!! Grin Grin Grin

I can't decide if she needs a tail.  My hubby says no.  I am desparate to get ahold of Jess's pattern book.  If anyone can help me out please let me know!

Welcome to craftster!  That's a very cute Kate.  Smiley  I can't remember if I gave mine a tail or not...I think maybe I did and it helped her sit up.

Look forward to seeing you around more!

I can't believe I only just found this post. I knitted Kate in march for my friend's birthday. I only have an 'in progress' picture and now she (or maybe he? I think it looks more gentlemanly with the blue stripes) lives with my friend Sad. This was my first knit in the round and i LOVED it. I feel inspired to make another...

I made a Kate too!

(if the picture is broken, it's because my website is down for some reason and I apologize in advance)

I made it for my husband's grandparents because they collect cats.  It was so easy to make.

I love that this thread came up again; the Kates are so cute.

I'm thinking of making a "dog" -- Dexter? -- for a friend. I don't think I'm a good enough knitter to do a muzzle, so I was just thinking of making flat, oval ears and a shorter, thicker tail. Any other ideas?
