Thanks!  I have no idea what made her come out so obese but she's so soft!  I used some leftover wool from JoAnns.  That Sensations stuff ROCKS!

Thank you.  I had her eyes stitched on and didn't do a very good job.  She had a very demonic look and that SOOO wasn't her! ha ha  so I pulled it all out and gave her some buttons.  She's not going to a baby or anything so I figured buttons were fine.

Here's mine. I stitched the arms on higher than in the pattern, because I decided I kinda liked it that way. I've loved seeing how everyone's Kate has turned out... they're all so unique. Cheesy

Hey again, I was just thinking, would it do-able to adapt the pattern in knitting the round with circular needles as opposed to dpns? I far too busy (and a tad lazy) to learn dpns just yet... but I do love the Kate pattern... just though I'd ask before I bothered trying.

Just_A_Girl, try searching for the "magic loop" method.  I don't use dpns, but I learned how to do magic loop while knitting up Kate.  Basically, it's using one very long cable needle (at least 36") and creating a loop that can be adjusted to a very small size.

My Kate is done too! Actually I'm not crazy about her white skin/fur, if I were to do it over I would have chosen a nice yellow or tan or something. Anyways, here she is!


Relaxing after a long day at work.


She was too short to reach the flowers so she learned how to climb a tree!
Doesn't she look so pretty?


A flamingo caravan - she wouldn't tell me where she was headed though...
