ok, so i bought this skirt for about $1 from an op shop... or maybe it was some garage sale... pfft can't remember lol... anyway, i knew i wasn't gonna wear it, but i knew what i would wear...

so, i turned it from this....

to this...

i botched it... so it's an around-the-house skirt... lol

[UPDATE]
ok... so here's the tute, lol sorry for the cruddy paint diagrams...

1. ok, so imagine that this is the skirt lying flat on the floor.

2. even though the pic doesn't look like it- i measured equally so the skirt divided into 5 pieces (kinda looks like a discus/shotput field eh?)

3. i cut along the lines and removed the sections that i coloured in red.

4. i was then left with these 3 pieces. obviously, edge b is longer than edge a and edge d is longer than edge c yes? so... i hemmed all the edges (i think i would have just preferred to zig-zag over the edges instead of the whole fold-over thing  Undecided ) ok then after i hemmed the edges i ruffled edge b (you know how you just kinda straight stitch then pull the thread so it ruffles?) so it is the same length as edge a. i then sewed edge b over the top of edge a. and then i did the same for edges c and d.

i hope that made any sense lol

ok, originally the diagram was HUGE but stupid photobucket resized it... anyway if u need help or don't get it, leave a post or message me  Smiley have fun!!!
