I've been meaning to make one of these for awhile.  I picked up a cotton blue striped shirt and a bright orange linen shirt from the thrift store and used the pattern from www.tostetoes.com/knittingroll.htm to put it together.  I don't have a sewing machine so I did it by hand.  The picture is not the greatest.

that looks really good. i've made those bf except for crochet hooks and then i gave them to my fellow crocheters as christmas gifts. they loved them.

ooh very cool! i love it alot! i've been thinking of making one myself. it's getting too difficult to keep track of scissors, needles, yarn, etc. etc. i'm inspired!

Looks good, and thanks so much for posting the pattern--I made one for my friend, then decided to make a matching tote to carry the roll and project in.

I made a couple of small modifications to mine--I used quilt batting instead of fleece and moved one of the 3" pockets over, but that's about it.
