I am in Rome and would love to hook up with fellow crafty peeps in my area. I know there has to be a group, or need for one, around here somewhere. I make purses, wallets and Autism Awareness items to make extra money for everyday expenses. I also donate a % to Autism research. I normally sell on EBay, but I am beginning to branch out and sell my wares around town now.  Sometime after Christmas, I hope to have some items at a shop in the local mall!  Hope to hear from someone!

I'm not in Rome, but I have to give a great big thumbs up for promoting Autism awareness.   Smiley  Both of my brothers are autistic in varying degrees, so it's a big thing for me.

That sounds like a cool idea, but I live in Athens...Do you know how far away that is by chance?

Well this is an old thread, but I am putting this out there anyway.

We just moved to Rome after traveling all over the southern states for a few months. Lived in the lower part of Ga, and East Al. before that.

Haven't really done too much on the "checking-out-the-locals-arts" thing. Have only been to the mall once. Not really my scene. Undecided

I need a new hobby, my old one is broke!

I am in LaFayette, Georgia...which, if you are in Rome, probably means that you know pretty much where I am!  I was simply looking up recipes for making my own colored sand (instead of buying the stuff) and happened upon craftster here.

I'd love to find or create the beginnings of a neat, cool, rockin' group of crafty diy folks to hang with.  My hubby and I both love music and are usually around more of the Chattanooga, TN scene, but we reside in GA.

Hit me up via the web if this is already happenin' or if it is a possibility to start.  Thanks again, y'all!
