I've been working on these for awhile now and finally think they're at a point I can share them.  Smiley

I have a think for wearing clog style slippers and wanted to make my own, but couldn't find a pattern I liked.  I took a toe-up knitted sock pattern and used that as a starting point and then went to town with it.  These are 100% wool - the needle felting is bits of roving and bits of wool yarn left over from other projects.  I'm still not sure they're as complete as I want them to be, for now I'm going to leave them be.

Those are really cute.  It looks like you felted the slippers and then needled on?

Thanks!  The slippers were knit with 100% wool yarn and then felted in the washer.  The embellishments were needle felted on afterwards.

Beautiful work!  Love how you modified a sock pattern to get what you wanted for the slipper.  The neelde felting is such a prefect touch for felted knit items.  Cool design and you did a great job of matching/duplicating.  One of the hardest things for me is to duplicate something, so when I see others doing it well it makes me happy.  Thanks for sharing.

Those are so cute! I'd love a pair like those for the indoors.

I don't know if you've done something like this already, but if you wanted them to be a little more durable, (but still for indoors) you could sew some leather onto the base of them

I've been thinking about doing something to the bottoms, just not entirely sure what yet.  I did end up reinforcing them once - I knit a separate sole piece and then cut out a piece of heavy plastic to sandwich between the sole and bottom of the slipper so the bottoms don't just flop around.  I haven't actually worn these yet - I just keep looking at them trying to decide if they're done or not.  Smiley  I'm taking them with tonight to my knitting group to see what everyone there thinks.

Thanks for all the support!
