hiya girls,

i made these lovely bags recently. this one is a slouchy bag. thnx to tinafish 4 the wonderful tut. its made of flannel, my fav. fabric, so soft n cushy. i lined it with tea pink cotton fabric. no inside pockets Sad

since i luv zip top bags as things r more safe n secure, i was compelled to make this bag. i made it by adding the zipper part of the slouchy bag to the top of skipping bag. it was fun. made of thick cotton fabric n lined by the same tea pink cotton fabric i used in my slouchy bag.

this is a jordy *quilted* bag with a zip top. i used batting inside, it was a pain in the ass, seriously. made of thin cotton, so i thought of using batting to give it some shape. lined by shocking pink cotton. added a zipper pocket in this one  Cheesy

thnx for lookin Smiley

Dia those are sooo cute!  I love the one with hearts all over it!! Smiley
Could you share more details of how you put the zipper in the skipping bag?  I think that's a great idea and I'd like to try it too. Smiley

thnks gurls *blushes* i never thought that my bags would be liked so much coz i usually use boring colors, it's hard to find cool fabrics here : (

the pink hearts one was my sister's, i had to beg her to get it ; )

OK, as for how i did the skipping/zipper bag, well it was soo easy, i just took the skipping bag pattern, cut it in the middle vertically, and cut the straps leaving them to be just 1 and a 1/2 inches long. then i sewed the middle seam (not the strap seams) get it. then u get a piece just like the slouchy bag, the diff. b/w the two is just that the slouchy one has a round bottom n this one has a square type one. from here u'd follow the same step as in the slouchy bag tut. get fabric pieces to add around the zipper, then add the zipper part with the bag body n so on. hope this made sense. if its still confusing just ask, i'll try to elaborate it using pics then!!

Silly server...here's some links to online fabric sources if you can't find cute ones near home.  Haven't tried them yet myself, but the reprodepot fabrics make me drool:
